Francois Oberholz, Chief Financial Officer of flydubai, said : “We are delighted to be recognized as ‘Airline of the Year’ and to receive this recognition for our ongoing investments in our people and services. Throughout 2025, we worked to enhance the customer experience in both Business and Economy Class through improvements designed to provide comfort for our passengers at every stage of their journey.

The airline also continued its strong commitment to investing in recruitment, training, and internal capacity building. With the recent aircraft orders announced at the Dubai Airshow 2025, we are well-positioned to move forward with the next phase of expansion as our fleet and network grow.”

“These awards are a direct reflection of the hard work and dedication of the teams at flydubai. Our business model has always been based on flexibility and innovation, thanks to simultaneous investment in our people through advanced training programs, enhancing the passenger experience as we continue to open new horizons in markets lacking air connectivity and strengthening Dubai’s position as a global aviation hub.”

Recent updates to customer experience include the refurbishment and opening of travel retail stores in Dubai and Sharjah, improvements to economy class services, and the selection of Starlink as a partner for onboard connectivity.

flydubai currently operates a network of more than 100 destinations, supported by a fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline has also indicated plans for continued expansion following recent aircraft orders announced at the Dubai Airshow 2025.

The awards were received by senior representatives of the airline, including finance, revenue management, airport services and human resources leadership teams, during the ceremony attended by stakeholders from the aviation and travel sectors.
