Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Ayodhyām, Ayodhya – IHCL SeleQtions, expanding its presence in one of India’s most significant spiritual destinations.
The opening comes amid continued growth in spiritual tourism across the country, with Ayodhya attracting increasing numbers of domestic and international visitors seeking cultural, religious and heritage experiences.

The 162-room Ayodhyām, Ayodhya – IHCL SeleQtions has been designed to draw inspiration from the city’s heritage while offering contemporary hospitality. The property features spacious interiors, natural lighting and design elements influenced by local traditions.
Guests can dine at Divyam, the hotel’s signature restaurant, which offers a menu inspired by regional culinary traditions and local ingredients. The hotel also features a fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, and event spaces suitable for weddings, conferences, and social gatherings.
Shilpa Shorewala, owner of the property, said the partnership with IHCL aims to create a hospitality experience that reflects the spiritual character of Ayodhya while catering to modern travellers.
