American Airlines Resumes Miami–Caracas Flights After Seven Years
Miami–Caracas Flights Resume with American Airlines
American Airlines has resumed nonstop flights between Miami and Caracas, marking the return of direct air connectivity between the United States and Venezuela after a seven-year gap. The inaugural flight departed Miami at 10:11 a.m., with a small send-off at the gate to mark the occasion.
The route is operated by Envoy Air with an Embraer 175 aircraft, offering one daily service. A second daily frequency is scheduled to begin from 21 May, offering passengers more flexibility when planning travel between the two destinations.
American Airlines began operations in Venezuela in 1987 and suspended services in 2019 due to regulatory restrictions. The restart of flights reflects renewed connectivity between the two countries and provides a direct travel option for passengers, including those visiting friends and family and business travellers.
The airline’s Miami hub continues to serve as a key gateway for travel between the United States and Latin America, enabling onward connections to multiple destinations across its network.

Tickets for the Miami–Caracas route are available through the airline’s website and mobile application.
