Hilton Expands Morocco Portfolio with New Hotel Signings and Rabat Opening
Morocco expansion plans include new brands and Rabat hotel debut
Hilton has outlined plans to grow its presence in Morocco, with new hotel agreements across several brands and the opening of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé.
The company is working to increase its portfolio in the country to 25 hotels, with 15 properties currently under development across multiple destinations.
Recent agreements include the introduction of Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Morocco, alongside continued development under Curio Collection by Hilton, DoubleTree by Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn.
Rabat hotel marks Waldorf Astoria entry
The opening of Waldorf Astoria Rabat Salé marks the brand’s debut in Morocco. Located within the Mohammed VI Tower, the hotel includes 55 guest rooms and suites.
Positioned between Rabat and Salé, the property offers views of the Bouregreg River and the Atlantic coastline. Facilities include multiple dining venues, a spa, event spaces covering 1,300 square metres, and an art collection integrated into the design.
Tapestry Collection to launch in Casablanca and Chefchaouen
Hilton is preparing to introduce Tapestry Collection by Hilton in Morocco with two projects scheduled for 2028.
A property in Casablanca will include 90 rooms, a rooftop bar, a restaurant, and a fitness centre. Another development in Chefchaouen will feature 100 rooms, along with facilities such as a rooftop restaurant, spa, swimming pools, and meeting spaces.
Expansion continues in Marrakech and coastal destinations

In Marrakech, Hilton has signed Eden Palm Marrakech, which will be part of Curio Collection by Hilton and is expected to open in 2029. The property will include 62 rooms, wellness facilities and event space.
Further developments are planned in coastal locations, including Nador and Tetouan.
DoubleTree by Hilton Nador Marina is scheduled for 2028 and will include 120 rooms, dining outlets, meeting spaces and leisure facilities. Hilton Garden Inn Tetouan City Center is expected to open in 2029 with 97 rooms, along with dining, wellness, and business facilities.
Ongoing development across brands
These additions form part of Hilton’s broader development pipeline in Morocco, which includes planned growth across brands such as Hampton by Hilton and LXR Hotels & Resorts.
Hilton currently operates 12 hotels in Morocco, with additional properties in development across multiple cities.
The expansion reflects continued investment in Morocco’s hospitality sector, with projects spanning established urban centres and emerging destinations.
