Vietjet Thailand Launches Direct Kolkata–Bangkok Service
Vietjet Thailand has launched a new direct service linking Kolkata (CCU) and Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi), further strengthening air connectivity between India and Thailand. The inaugural flight arrived at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, marking the airline’s latest route addition in the Indian market.
The Kolkata–Bangkok service operates four times a week with late-night departures designed to support convenient travel schedules.
VZ771 departs Kolkata at 00:50 and arrives in Bangkok at 04:55
VZ770 departs Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 22:30 and arrives in Kolkata at 23:50 (local time)

Commenting on the launch, Pinyot Pibulsonggram, Vice President – Commercial and Customer Service, Vietjet Thailand, said India continues to see steady demand across leisure, family and business travel segments. He noted that the new Kolkata–Bangkok route reflects the airline’s plans to expand capacity in key Indian cities and connect Bangkok with additional destinations across India in the future.
To mark the launch, Vietjet Thailand has introduced a promotional fare from INR 1 (excluding taxes and fees). The offer is available for bookings made between 12 and 15 January 2026, with travel valid from 16 February to 30 November 2026, subject to terms and conditions. Tickets can be booked via the airline’s official website.
The Kolkata–Bangkok route complements Vietjet Thailand’s existing India network, which includes services from Mumbai and Ahmedabad to Bangkok, as well as Mumbai–Phuket. As the airline continues to expand across Asia, it remains focused on offering competitive fares, practical schedules and a broader choice of destinations for travellers between India, Thailand and the wider region.
