Wyndham Opens Beachfront Resort in Acharavi, Corfu
Travellers planning a Greek island getaway have a new accommodation option in Corfu with the opening of Wyndham Corfu Acharavi, a beachfront resort located near the village of Acharavi. Set amid greenery and along the island’s northern coastline, the property has opened in collaboration with Mercan Group.

Commenting on the opening, Vassilis Themelidis, Regional Director, South & East Europe, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said that Corfu continues to attract visitors year-round. He noted that Wyndham Corfu Acharavi is the brand’s first namesake hotel on the island and forms part of Wyndham’s growing presence across Greece and Cyprus.
An Island Retreat on Corfu’s Northern Coast
Located along a 7-kilometre sandy beach on the northern coast of Corfu, Wyndham Corfu Acharavi offers direct sea access and views of the Ionian Sea. The resort currently features 163 rooms, suites and apartments, with plans to add just over 100 additional premium rooms in the coming months.
Dining options at the resort include Theos Main Restaurant, with live cooking and buffet service, and Olive Speciality Restaurant, featuring a contemporary take on a traditional Greek taverna. Cafés and snack bars are located by the pool and beachfront, providing all-day food and beverage service.
The property’s wellness facilities include a full-service spa with sauna, treatment rooms and relaxation areas, along with a fully equipped gym. Guests also have access to two outdoor swimming pools, a children’s pool, a tennis court and a range of leisure amenities. Additional facilities include private parking and a mini market featuring local products.
Select accommodations include private plunge pools, while family-friendly features include a children’s playground. Guests can also explore nearby activities, including cycling, sea excursions, and hiking trails. The resort is within walking distance of Acharavi’s village centre and beachfront dining spots, offering a balance between a quiet stay and local experiences. Corfu’s air and sea links connect the island with mainland Greece and neighbouring islands.

Theodoros Kioutsoukis, President of Mercan Greece, said the opening marks Mercan’s entry into the Greek hospitality market and the beginning of its partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. He added that additional room is planned as travel demand continues to extend beyond traditional peak seasons.
