The Westin Hotels & Resorts has opened The Westin Playa Vallarta, marking the brand’s first all-inclusive resort in Mexico. Located along Banderas Bay in Puerto Vallarta, the property introduces a redesigned hospitality experience centred around wellness, dining and leisure-focused stays.

Previously operating as The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta, the property has undergone renovations across guest rooms, dining spaces, wellness facilities, and public areas. The updated resort now includes more than 280 redesigned rooms and suites, including adults-only swim-up suites, family studios and ocean-view accommodation options.

The architectural redesign was led by Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos, while interiors were updated by Uribe Krayer and Vida Design Studio. The design incorporates open spaces, natural materials, and locally inspired décor elements that connect to the surrounding coastal environment.

The resort includes ten dining and beverage concepts offering a mix of Mexican, Caribbean, Latin and Asian-inspired cuisine. Facilities include restaurants, café spaces, a rooftop-style cocktail venue and mezcal tasting experiences.

As part of Westin’s wellness-focused approach, the property also offers yoga sessions, meditation programmes, water sports, paddle and pickleball courts, and a spa and fitness studio. Guests can also access cultural experiences and guided tours linked to Puerto Vallarta’s local art and entertainment areas.
