Vikram Kamats and HPCL Announce Food and Fuel Partnership

Vikram Kamats Hospitality Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to introduce South Indian dining formats at select HPCL fuel stations across India.

The collaboration aims to integrate food and fuel services, offering travellers access to restaurant and take-away options alongside refuelling facilities.

Under the agreement, Vikram Kamats Hospitality Limited will establish South Indian restaurants and grab-and-go outlets at designated HPCL locations. The concept is designed to provide travellers with hygienic dining options, clean restrooms, and convenient stopover facilities in a single location.

The partnership was formalised by Murali Krishna V. Vadrevu, Executive Director at HPCL, and Pankaj Deokar, Vice President – Operations at Vikram Kamats Hospitality Limited.

The rollout will begin in Maharashtra, serving as a pilot market. Following evaluation, the model will be expanded in phases across highways, cities and urban centres nationwide through HPCL’s fuel station network.

The restaurant format will include travel-friendly packaging to support quick service and takeaway consumption. The design focuses on speed, hygiene, consistency and operational efficiency to suit highway and urban travel patterns.

Both organisations have stated that the expansion will follow a phased and scalable approach, with emphasis on maintaining food quality and service standards as the network grows.

Through this initiative, the two companies aim to position fuel stations as multi-purpose travel stops that combine mobility and dining services for daily commuters, families, fleet operators and business travellers.

Vikram Kamat, Founder of Vikram Kamats Hospitality Limited, said, “For decades, Indian travellers have associated fuel stops with necessity alongside comfort. This partnership allows us to change that narrative. Through coming together with HPCL, we are creating spaces where people can pause, eat well, and travel better. Our focus has always been on food that is honest, hygienic, and familiar, and this collaboration allows us to take that experience to where India travels every day, on its highways and city roads.
