IHG London Hotel Signing Expands Vignette Collection in Canary Wharf
Vignette Collection London Hotel Set for Canary Wharf Opening in 2026
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the signing of Canary Riverside Plaza, Vignette Collection by IHG, marking the brand’s first property in London and its second in the UK and Ireland. The hotel is being developed in partnership with Yianis Group and will also mark IHG’s entry into Canary Wharf.
Scheduled to open in summer 2026, the hotel will feature 142 guestrooms and suites overlooking the River Thames and the London skyline. The property will also include a restaurant and bar, meeting and event facilities for up to 200 guests, along with access to a nearby health club and spa.
Located in Canary Wharf, the hotel is expected to cater to both business and leisure travellers due to its transport connections across London and access to international gateways.

Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the signing reflects the continued partnership between IHG and Yianis Group following the earlier signing of InterContinental Manchester. She added that London represents an important location for the continued expansion of the Vignette Collection brand.

John Christodoulou, Chairman of Yianis Group, said the partnership aligns with the group’s vision of creating a hotel that maintains its own identity while benefiting from the reach of an international hospitality company.
Vignette Collection was launched by IHG in 2021 as a collection brand focused on conversion opportunities. The brand allows hotels to retain their individual character while operating within IHG’s global network. The collection currently has 34 hotels open globally, with another 45 properties in development.
In Europe, the brand has six operating hotels and 17 more in the pipeline, including projects in Germany and Italy.
IHG currently operates 384 hotels across the UK and Ireland, with an additional 28 properties under development.
