30-Day Free E-Tourist Indian Visa for Thailand

The Embassy of India in Bangkok, Thailand, issued a press release stating that the government of India will grant 30-day e-tourist visas to Thai nationals.

The press released stated, “Government of India will grant 30 days e-Tourist visa with single/double entry on gratis to Thai nationals from July 1, 2024. This arrangement will remain in force for six months (i.e., till December 31, 2024) or till further orders. Thai nationals will have to apply for e-Tourist visa to visit India through the online portal, and the e-tourist visa will be granted without any visa fee under this new arrangement.”

Through the new scheme, Thai tourists can visit India for up to 30 days without any visa charges. The initiative is surely bound to strengthen the tourism ties between the two countries as Thailand, too, extended its visa-free programme for Indians and even approved longer stays in the country.
