The programme was led by Haryanty Abu Bakar together with a delegation of 13 Malaysian tourism stakeholders including travel agencies, airlines and tourism product operators.

The roadshow focused on building stronger partnerships with travel trade representatives in Gujarat while promoting Malaysia’s tourism experiences and upcoming tourism initiatives linked to the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.

Roadshow Focused on Travel Trade Partnerships

According to Tourism Malaysia, the event provided opportunities for travel agents and tourism businesses from Rajkot and Vadodara to interact directly with Malaysian tourism sellers.

The roadshow was designed to strengthen business relationships and explore future collaboration opportunities between tourism stakeholders from both countries.

Tourism Malaysia also highlighted its aim to provide Indian travellers with accessible and value-focused tourism experiences across Malaysia.

Gujarat Identified as a Growing Travel Market

Haryanty Abu Bakar said India remains one of Malaysia’s key tourism source markets while Gujarat continues to show strong growth potential for outbound travel.

She added that the roadshow aimed to strengthen ties with travel trade partners in tier-two cities such as Rajkot and Vadodara while increasing awareness of Malaysia’s tourism offerings under the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
