The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas Appoints Prakash Thapa as Loss Prevention Manager

The Westin Resort & Spa, Himalayas has appointed Prakash Thapa as Loss Prevention Manager.

Thapa brings over a decade of experience in hospitality security, safety, and risk management. In his new role, he will oversee loss prevention operations, including security management, risk assessment, emergency preparedness, compliance, and fire and life safety.

Prior to joining the resort, he served as Security Manager at Hyatt Regency Dharamshala Resort, where he was responsible for safety, security operations, and compliance processes. His experience also includes roles at Hyatt Place Bharuch and Taj Chia Kutir Resort & Spa, Darjeeling, where he was part of pre-opening teams, as well as Taj Mahal, New Delhi, where he began his career in hospitality.

Over the course of his career, Thapa has managed security operations across hospitality environments, including coordination for high-profile guests and official delegations. His experience includes emergency response planning, compliance audits, and coordination with local authorities to support operational requirements.

In his current role, he will work closely with the leadership team to support safety protocols and operational processes across the resort.
