The Westin Mumbai Powai Lake and Lakeside Chalet, Marriott Executive Apartments have appointed Amit Basu as Director of Food & Beverage. He will oversee food and beverage operations across the properties.

Amit brings over 21 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with exposure to luxury and upscale hotel brands including Grand Hyatt, Sofitel, The Ritz-Carlton, and The Leela. His experience includes managing food and beverage operations with a focus on service delivery, operational processes, and business performance.

In his new role, Amit will be responsible for the overall management of the food and beverage division, including restaurants, bars, banqueting, in-room dining, conferences, weddings, and events. His responsibilities will also include planning dining concepts, supporting revenue objectives, and overseeing operational functions.

Over the course of his career, he has worked on restaurant promotions, seasonal initiatives, and beverage programmes, while managing banquet operations and events. His experience also includes cost management and process improvements aimed at operational efficiency.

The appointment reflects the property’s continued focus on managing its food and beverage operations across multiple outlets and event spaces.
