Thailand Tourism Festival 2026 Opens to Promote Domestic Travel

Five-Day Event Showcases Culture, Communities and Sustainable Tourism

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has opened the 44th edition of the Thailand Tourism Festival (TTF) 2026, aimed at encouraging domestic travel and highlighting experiences across the country. The event is currently underway, having begun on 25 March and continuing through 29 March 2026.

The opening ceremony was led by Natthriya Thaweevong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Chairperson of the TAT Board, along with Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of TAT. The event was attended by government representatives, tourism officials and industry stakeholders.

Officials noted that the festival is designed to encourage residents to explore destinations within Thailand while supporting regional tourism and local communities.

Focus on Regional Experiences and Sustainability

The festival features nine themed zones representing different regions of Thailand, offering visitors an overview of the country’s culture, cuisine, traditions and travel experiences. The event is structured to inspire travel beyond the festival itself by showcasing local identities and attractions.

TTF 2026 also incorporates sustainability initiatives aligned with the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) economy model. The event continues its ‘Zero Waste to Landfills’ approach, aiming to manage waste responsibly and reduce environmental impact.

The festival is being held at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre in Bangkok, with free entry for visitors. It runs daily from 10:00 to 21:00 and is accessible via public transport, including the MRT network.
