TAT Welcomes Taiwanese Accessible Tourism Group at Suvarnabhumi Airport
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted a welcome event at Suvarnabhumi Airport for 29 Taiwanese travellers with mobility impairments arriving on a five-day Bangkok–Ayutthaya incentive program from November 18–22, 2025. The visit supports Thailand’s direction to enhance inclusive travel experiences under the “Tourism for All” initiative, positioning the country as an accessible and welcoming destination for all travellers.
Representatives from the Association of Thai Travel Agents (ATTA) and Airports of Thailand (AOT) joined the welcome. The group arrived on EVA Air flight BR211 from Taoyuan at 11.30 Hrs. and was greeted with a souvenir presentation reflecting the warmth of Thai hospitality.
Presiding over the event, Ms. Pattaraanong Na Chiangmai, TAT Deputy Governor for International Marketing – Asia and South Pacific, said the welcome at Suvarnabhumi Airport represents Thailand’s inclusive approach and reinforces TAT’s efforts to promote accessible tourism in the region. She noted that the visit indicates growing interest among international travellers with disabilities in exploring Thailand’s cultural, urban, and leisure offerings.
The delegation comprises employees of Flow, Inc., a Taiwan-based social enterprise specialising in Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology and providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The group includes both general staff and employees with lower-body mobility impairments who use wheelchairs. Led personally by the company’s CEO, this first overseas incentive trip to Thailand marks a significant step in supporting Taiwan’s “Tourism for All” segment. It reflects Thailand’s growing visibility as an accessible travel destination.
Organized in collaboration with Taiwanese tourism partners, the programme includes visits to Bangkok landmarks such as Wat Arun and the Grand Palace, along with experiences at Asiatique The Riverfront, ICONSIAM, and a Chao Phraya River cruise aboard the Chao Phraya Princess. In Ayutthaya, the itinerary features visits to Ayutthaya Historical Park and Sri Ayutthaya Lion Park. The visit highlights Thailand’s readiness to welcome travellers of different abilities and ongoing efforts to strengthen inclusive tourism nationwide.
