Grand Reopening: Taj Malabar Resort and Spa, Cochin Welcomes Guests Back

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the reopening of the Taj Malabar Resort and Spa in Cochin, Kerala, following a year-long extensive renovation and redesign. Built in 1935, the hotel’s legendary history has been reimagined with fresh and modern sensibilities, paying homage to Kochi’s multicultural fabric and maritime history.

The resort features 93 rooms and suites 

Nestled on the serene Willingdon Island and overlooking Cochin’s picturesque harbour, Taj Malabar Resort & Spa’s refreshed interiors honour the city’s local heritage. The meticulously designed 93 rooms and suites blend contemporary design and elegance. Guests can indulge in various culinary experiences, including the all-day diner, Pepper, presenting a variety of global and regional cuisine, and Rice Boat, the seafood speciality restaurant offering a unique dining experience on a traditional Kerala boat. The Mattancherry Bar provides the perfect setting to unwind with a signature cocktail amidst elegant surroundings. J Wellness Circle Spa is a sanctuary blending established Ayurvedic therapies, modern comforts, and a yoga centre. The infinity pool overlooking the backwaters is the perfect spot to lounge.
