Taj Bush Lodge Expands Safari Tourism Experience in Greater Kruger

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the opening of Taj Bush Lodge in the Greater Kruger region of South Africa. The new property marks Taj’s entry into the wildlife tourism segment in the region and forms part of the brand’s growing presence in South Africa.

Puneet Chhatwal

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, said the launch adds a wildlife experience to Taj’s existing South African hospitality portfolio, which already includes Cape Town. He noted that the lodge reflects Taj’s focus on experiences connected to local culture and surroundings.

Located in the Balule Nature Reserve within the Greater Kruger region, the six-key Taj Bush Lodge has been designed to reflect the character of the local landscape. The property features thatched roofs, wooden interiors and earthy colour palettes inspired by the surrounding environment.

The lodge offers locally inspired dining experiences prepared with seasonal produce. Guests can also access wellness therapies at the J Wellness Circle spa.

Visitors staying at the lodge can take part in a range of outdoor and wildlife activities, including game drives, bush breakfasts, South African braais, safaris in Kruger National Park, boat cruises, quad biking and guided regional excursions. Nearby attractions include the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre and the Olifants River.
