STB and CCPIT Sign MoU to Strengthen Exhibition Industry Cooperation
Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) have signed a three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to formalise cooperation in the exhibition industry. This marks the first agreement between the two organisations that is specifically focused on exhibitions.

The MoU establishes a collaborative framework across three areas. Under exhibition facilitation support, CCPIT will encourage Chinese exhibition enterprises and institutions to organise international economic and trade exhibitions in Singapore, while STB will assist through government liaison and industry connections.
The agreement also outlines joint promotion efforts, with both parties working to promote international exhibitions in sectors where China and Singapore share common strengths, including advanced manufacturing, clean energy, technology and innovation, and healthcare. In addition, the MoU supports deeper MICE exchange through knowledge sharing and potential cooperation in areas such as sustainable development, digital transformation and talent development within the exhibition sector.
“The signing of the Memorandum between the CCPIT and the STB is an important measure to deepen China-Singapore cooperation in the exhibition industry. It holds great significance for strengthening industrial chain ties between China, Singapore and Southeast Asia and boosting regional economic prosperity,” said Mr. Wu Shengrong, Director General of the Exhibition Management Department (Office of International Exhibitions Bureau and World Expo Affairs) of the CCPIT. “It is anticipated that through the practical cooperation between our two institutions, positive contributions will be made to deepening exhibition cooperation in key industries and promoting the development of China-Singapore economic and trade relations,” he added.
“This partnership with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) represents an important initiative for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) in deepening international business events cooperation,” said Mr Poh Chi Chuan, Executive Director, Exhibitions and Conferences, Singapore Tourism Board. “We look forward to welcoming more Chinese organisations participating in exhibitions held in Singapore. As a hub for innovation, technology and research, Singapore serves as a trusted and efficient gateway to the fast-growing Asia Pacific region, connecting partners to strategic business networks and collaboration opportunities while enabling meaningful engagement that drives lasting impact.”
By combining Singapore’s established business events infrastructure and connectivity with China’s scale and market presence, the collaboration is expected to support the regional MICE ecosystem and create additional platforms for Chinese enterprises to present innovations and build partnerships across the Asia-Pacific region.
