Starlux Airlines Takes Delivery of First A350-1000
Starlux Airlines has taken delivery of its first Airbus A350-1000, marking a new addition to the carrier’s widebody fleet. The aircraft, registered B-58551 (MSN 761), was delivered on January 5, 2026, following a direct ferry flight from Toulouse Blagnac to the airline’s base at Taipei Taoyuan.
Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines power the A350-1000. Starlux expects to receive 18 A350-1000 aircraft by 2031 as part of its long-term fleet plan.
Starlux originally placed an order for 12 A350-1000s in 2018, with initial deliveries planned from 2022. In 2019, the airline converted four of these orders to the A350-900 variant. In June 2025, Starlux increased its commitment, bringing the total A350-1000 order to 18 aircraft.

According to fleet data, Starlux Airlines currently operates 30 Airbus aircraft, comprising 13 A321neo, 6 A330-900neo, 10 A350-900, and 1 A350-1000. The airline also has future commitments for six A321neo, two A330-900neo, 17 additional A350-1000s, and ten A350 freighters, supporting its planned network and cargo expansion over the coming years.
