St. Regis opens hotel in Budapest’s Klotild Palace
St. Regis brings Budapest hotel to historic Klotild Palace
St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened its first property in Hungary with The St. Regis Budapest, located within the historic Klotild Palace.
Situated near the Danube in Budapest, the hotel is housed in a restored early 20th-century building originally commissioned by Princess Klotild of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. The Neo-Baroque structure, designed by architects Flóris Korb and Kálmán Giergl, has long been part of the city’s architectural landscape.
The property features 63 rooms and 39 suites, including a Presidential Suite and the Klotild Tower Suite. Interiors draw on local design influences, incorporating elements inspired by Budapest’s art, architecture and historic bath culture.
Dining options include a Japanese restaurant, a café offering Hungarian and French pastries, and a bar inspired by the city’s cultural and music scene. The hotel also includes a spa with treatment rooms, a pool, sauna and fitness facilities.
Event spaces at the property include meeting rooms and salons designed for business and social gatherings.

The opening adds to the brand’s presence in Europe and reflects the continued development of hospitality projects within restored heritage buildings across the region.
