IHG expands India presence with Holiday Inn Resort Alwar signing
IHG signs Holiday Inn Resort in Alwar to grow India portfolio
IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Yash Hotels & Resorts LLP to develop Holiday Inn Resort Alwar, marking the company’s entry into Alwar.
Scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2030, the project supports IHG’s strategy to expand in leisure and emerging destinations across India.
The 150-room resort will be located near the Aravalli Hills, with access to key markets such as Delhi NCR and Jaipur, as well as the nearby Sariska Tiger Reserve. The property is planned with multiple dining venues, resort facilities, and meeting and event spaces, catering to leisure travellers, social events and corporate groups.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia at IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the signing reflects the company’s focus on expanding into emerging destinations and strengthening its presence in India.
Mukesh Gulati, Managing Partner at Yash Hotels & Resorts LLP, noted that Alwar’s location and connectivity make it suitable for hospitality development, particularly for leisure travel, weddings and events.

IHG Hotels & Resorts currently operates 51 hotels across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts, Crowne Plaza, voco Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort and Holiday Inn Express, with a pipeline of 89 hotels expected to open over the next three to five years.
