SpiceJet CFO Ashish Kumar Steps Down

SpiceJet’s head of finance and chief financial officer, Ashish Kumar, left the firm on July 16 to “pursue other opportunities.” The financially troubled airline made the announcement to the stock exchanges.

According to the carrier, Joyakesh Podder, designated as the deputy chief financial officer, will succeed Kumar as the head of finance from July 15, 2024. According to a statement from the firm, Podder is a chartered accountant with more than 30 years of experience working for several companies in the telecom, hospitality, and aviation industries, including PwC, Reliance, Mahindra, Go Air, and SpiceJet.
