Sirius Hotel Group Appoints Matt Lederer as Director of Acquisitions

Sirius Hotel Group has appointed Matt Lederer to the newly created role of Director of Acquisitions, as part of its strategy to expand its portfolio. The move follows the company’s rebranding from Resident Hotels and reflects its focus on developing and operating prime city-centre hotels in partnership with capital investors.

Lederer brings a strong background across professional services and hotel development. He previously served as Senior Vice President at JLL and as Development Director at Marriott International, where he contributed to the expansion of brands such as Moxy Hotels, Residence Inn, and Courtyard by Marriott.

Most recently, he spent nearly six years as Hotel Acquisitions Director at Castleforge, where he was involved in sourcing and executing hotel investment opportunities.

In his new role, Lederer will lead acquisition initiatives to support Sirius Hotel Group’s ambitious growth plans. The company aims to expand its portfolio by more than 20 hotels over the next six to ten years, targeting a total footprint of over 30 properties. Its strategy includes a mix of property conversions—such as office-to-hotel and hotel-to-hotel transformations—as well as new development projects.

This appointment underscores the group’s intent to accelerate growth through strategic investments and partnerships in key urban markets.
