Hilton Appoints Mark Kochhar as Director, Franchise Development, Canada

Hilton has appointed Mark Kochhar as Director, Franchise Development, Canada, strengthening its development leadership in a key growth market.

Originally from Vancouver and now based in Toronto, Kochhar brings more than three decades of hospitality experience, including over 13 years with Hilton. During his tenure, he has developed expertise across hotel development, owner relations, brand management, and performance, with a strong focus on building long-term partnerships and driving strategic growth.

Prior to this role, he served as Director, Owner Relations, Canada, where he worked closely with owners and operators nationwide to support alignment, brand standards, and operational performance. Earlier in his career, he was General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto City Centre, gaining on-ground operational experience within the brand.

Kochhar holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Victoria and an associate degree in Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management from Douglas College. He is also a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and serves on the board of the Hotel Association of Canada, contributing to national-level industry advocacy.
