Qatar Airways Advances Starlink Rollout Across Widebody Fleet
Qatar Airways has reached a significant milestone by equipping over 100 wide-body aircraft with Starlink connectivity. With more than half of its widebody fleet now enabled, the airline continues to expand access to high-speed, uninterrupted in-flight Wi-Fi as part of its ongoing rollout.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said: “Qatar Airways is advancing its Starlink rollout ahead of schedule to enhance the travel experience for our passengers. Equipping over 100 aircraft since our first Starlink flight in October 2024 reflects this focus. We now operate up to 200 daily flights with Starlink service, offering passengers the ability to work, stream, and stay connected with ease.”
The Boeing 777 Starlink rollout is now complete, and installations across the Airbus A350 fleet are nearing completion. As coverage expands across a network of over 170 destinations, passengers in all cabins can access free, high-speed, gate-to-gate connectivity on flights across six continents, including major routes in the Americas, Australia, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

The introduction of Starlink is enhancing the onboard experience for both business and leisure travellers by enabling streaming, gaming, and seamless communication at cruising altitude. Qatar Airways remains the only airline in the MENA region currently offering Starlink on its flights.
