Minor Hotels Names New GM for NH Bangkok

The rebranding of Boulevard Hotel Bangkok to NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard will be complete by 4Q2024.

APPOINTMENT

According to a statement from Minor Hotels, the first NH Hotels & Resorts property in Bangkok, the NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard, has appointed Naowarat Arunkong as its general manager. Boulevard Hotel Bangkok will smoothly transition to NH Bangkok Sukhumvit Boulevard thanks to Arunkong’s expertise in hotel pre-opening, rebranding, and repositioning as Minor Hotels develops the brand outside Europe and the Americas.

Naowarat Arunkong joins her new position with a wealth of expertise. Since 1999, she has worked for Minor Hotels; most recently, she was the Cluster General Manager of the Avani+ and Anantara Hua Hin Resorts. Before that, from 2016 to 2018, she effectively oversaw two more hotel clusters: Anantara and Oaks Bangkok Sathorn Hotels and Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre, and Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel and Avani Khon Kaen Hotel & Convention Centre, from 2018 to 2020. Her career with Minor Hotels started in 1999 when she worked as Front Office Manager at the Bangkok Marriott Resort & Spa, which Minor Hotels operates. She subsequently advanced to the role of Rooms Division Manager. Arunkong holds a Master’s in Business Management and a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts from Kasem Bundit University in Thailand.
