The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the Jeju Tourism Organization (JTO) have signed a collaboration agreement to support responsible travel and tourism development on Jeju Island, Korea (ROK), and to lay the groundwork for a future PATA event in Jeju.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by PATA CEO Noor Ahmad Hamid and JTO CEO Koh Seung Chul at the PATA Destination Marketing Forum 2025 (PDMF 2025) in Chiang Rai, Thailand. The signing was attended by over 300 tourism professionals from across the region, marking a new phase of cooperation between the two organisations.

JTO President Koh Seung Chul added, “The agreement establishes a framework for expanding Jeju’s presence across the Asia Pacific region. JTO will continue to promote the MICE industry and enhance Jeju’s international competitiveness through this partnership.”

The collaboration focuses on promoting responsible travel to Jeju Island and encourages adherence to best practices in the MICE sector, sustainability, community benefits, cultural preservation, and environmental protection.
