APPOINTMENT
Oliver Schwartz Appointed as General Manager at Parmelia Hilton Perth
Parmelia Hilton Perth has announced the appointment of Oliver Schwartz as General Manager.
Oliver brings over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a background spanning operational and commercial roles across key city hotels in Melbourne, London, and Beijing. His experience includes working with luxury and lifestyle properties in international markets.
An alumnus of EHL Hospitality Business School (Class of 2009), he has developed expertise in hotel operations, guest experience, and commercial strategy.
In his new role, he will oversee overall operations at the property, with a focus on enhancing guest experiences and supporting the hotel’s ongoing evolution.
Excited for his new role, Oliver said, “Parmelia Hilton Perth is an institution. It was the state’s first five-star hotel and holds a special place in the hearts of many Western Australians. With respect to that legacy, I’m excited to join the team at an exciting time for the business, as we begin to look to the future of Parmelia Hilton Perth and what that looks like. It makes me proud to be joining a hotel with a tenure as long as 50 years. To be part of a place with such history and drive is very exciting indeed.”
Parmelia Hilton Perth, one of the city’s established luxury hotels, underwent a significant refurbishment in 2021, including upgrades to its façade, lobby, rooms, and suites, along with the addition of an Executive Lounge and connectivity to Brookfield Place Perth. The hotel has also introduced experience-led initiatives, including collaborations with regional partners such as Vasse Felix winery.
Oliver assumed the role on May 4, succeeding Interim General Manager David Wain.
