Sydney Airport Enhances Travel Money Services with Travelex Partnership
Sydney Airport has appointed Travelex as its new foreign exchange and ATM services partner, introducing an expanded travel money offering designed to provide passengers with greater convenience across its terminals.
The partnership begins on 1 July 2026, with Travelex launching an initial network of 10 foreign exchange stores at Terminal 1 International and more than 20 ATMs across the airport. The ATMs will dispense both Australian dollars and foreign currencies, making travel money more accessible for departing and arriving passengers.

Expanded Travel Money Services at Sydney Airport
The new partnership follows a competitive selection process aimed at modernising Sydney Airport’s financial services and responding to changing traveller preferences, including digital booking options and multi-channel travel money solutions.
Passengers will have access to more than 50 foreign currencies through online pre-order or in-store purchases. Travellers can also purchase or reload the Travelex Travel Money Card, which supports up to 10 different currencies.
Improving the Passenger Experience
Sydney Airport Group Executive Commercial Mark Zaouk said the partnership with Travelex reflects the airport’s commitment to delivering greater choice, convenience and flexibility while improving the overall passenger experience.
Travelex Managing Director for Australia and New Zealand Asokan Sathurayar said the company is pleased to return to Sydney Airport during its 50th anniversary year. He noted that Travelex has invested heavily in digital services, customer experience and product innovation to provide travellers with secure and flexible travel money solutions.
Supporting Modern Travel Needs
With extensive global experience in foreign exchange services, Travelex brings an integrated approach combining physical stores, digital ordering and prepaid travel cards. The partnership aligns with Sydney Airport’s strategy to enhance passenger services while supporting the growing demand for convenient and reliable travel money solutions.
