Park Hyatt Celebrates 40+ Years of Hospitality, Announces New Growth Plan

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced that the Park Hyatt brand is commemorating its 45th anniversary with continued global expansion and the launch of its first global marketing campaign in over five years, Luxury is Personal.

Since opening its first property, Park Hyatt Chicago, in 1980, the brand has emphasized a philosophy of personalized luxury through attentive service and thoughtfully designed experiences. The new campaign highlights how each Park Hyatt property seeks to create a sense of harmony through design, cuisine, art, and service.

Global Expansion

Park Hyatt continues to grow its presence across Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and the Americas with recent openings and upcoming projects:

Europe, Africa & Middle East

  • Park Hyatt Marrakech (opened July 2024) – 130 guestrooms and suites with a contemporary interpretation of Arab-Berber heritage.

  • Park Hyatt London River Thames (opened October 2024) – 203 guestrooms overlooking London’s skyline, marking the brand’s debut in the UK.

  • Park Hyatt Johannesburg (opened July 2025) – 31 guestrooms and suites in the Rosebank district.

  • Park Hyatt Taormina (expected 2027) – Cliffside retreat with views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

Asia Pacific

  • Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (opened August 2025) – Located in Merdeka 118, one of the tallest skyscrapers in Asia Pacific.

  • Park Hyatt Tokyo (reopening December 2025) – Following a full redesign, including new guestrooms and updated dining.

  • Park Hyatt Phu Quoc (expected Q2 2026) – A coastal retreat integrating Vietnamese design with natural surroundings.

Americas

  • Park Hyatt Los Cabos (expected late 2025) – Coastal property with 163 guestrooms and a wellness complex.

  • Park Hyatt Cancun (expected 2026) – Beachfront property with dining and design inspired by the local context.

  • Park Hyatt Mexico City (expected 2026) – 155 guestrooms and 23 residences in Polanco, overlooking Chapultepec Park.

  • Park Hyatt Vancouver (expected 2026) – Redesigned hotel in the city’s tallest building, with 119 guestrooms.
