Centara Opens Himalayan Hideaway Resort Pokhara, Its First Property in Nepal

Centara Hotels & Resorts, Thailand’s leading hotel operator, has announced the official opening of Himalayan Hideaway Resort Pokhara, The Centara Collection, marking the group’s first property in Nepal and expanding its international portfolio.

Located in the hills of Kaskikot, around 35 minutes from Pokhara, the resort offers a secluded retreat with views of Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain) and access to the Sarangkot Loop Trail. The property combines contemporary comfort with natural surroundings, creating a setting for cultural experiences, relaxation, and wellness-focused stays.

As part of The Centara Collection, a curated portfolio of hotels defined by individuality and sense of place, Himalayan Hideaway Resort Pokhara features 42 rooms, suites, and villas, ranging from 75 to 128 square metres. Designed with wooden tones and Nepali-inspired details, accommodations include private gardens or balconies, while suites and villas feature separate living areas. Room categories include Deluxe Garden Terrace rooms, Skylight Suites, One Bedroom Villas, and One Bedroom Pool Villas, with extra beds available across all room types.

Guests can access wellness facilities such as Cense by SPA Cenvaree, an infrared sauna, yoga sessions, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool with mountain views. Additional facilities include a rooftop terrace, cocktail terrace, private fire pit setups, a play-and-chill room, and a small meeting room suited for corporate offsites and private gatherings.

Dining options include The Bistro, serving international dishes alongside Nepalese cuisine, and Chulo, a Pan-Asian restaurant with Nepalese, Indian, Chinese, and Thai influences. Summit offers cocktails and tapas, while the Tea House focuses on locally sourced teas and light snacks. In-room dining is also available.

The resort will offer curated guest experiences such as guided village walks, cultural encounters, and adventure activities including paragliding, ultralight flights, and trekking to Annapurna base camp.
