Marriott and Sun Group Sign 10 Hotels Across Vietnam
New Agreement Expands Presence in Phu Quoc and Vung Tau
Marriott International has signed an agreement with Sun Group to develop 10 new hotels and resorts in Vietnam, expanding its presence across key destinations, including Phu Quoc and Vung Tau.
The projects will span eight Marriott brands and add nearly 4,500 rooms to the company’s portfolio in the country. The developments are scheduled to open between 2026 and 2030 as part of larger mixed-use projects led by Sun Group.
The agreement includes the introduction of two brands in Vietnam: W Hotels and Moxy Hotels, marking their market entry.
Focus on Key Destinations and Mixed-Use Developments
In Phu Quoc, several properties will be developed across locations such as Hon Thom and Ruby Beach. These include hotels under brands such as Marriott Hotels, Westin, Le Méridien, and Courtyard by Marriott, as well as Moxy and Fairfield by Marriott.
Additional developments are planned in Vung Tau, where three hotels under Marriott Hotels, Moxy Hotels and Four Points by Sheraton will form part of a larger coastal project.
The new hotels will be integrated into broader destination developments that include infrastructure, entertainment and leisure facilities.
Marriott currently operates 32 properties in Vietnam, with more than 50 additional projects in the pipeline. The latest agreement with Sun Group reflects ongoing collaboration between the two companies as they continue to expand across the country.
