Kumar Shobhan Appointed Multi-Property General Manager for The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat & Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata

Marriott International has announced the appointment of Kumar Shobhan as Multi-Property General Manager for The Westin Kolkata Rajarhat and Fairfield by Marriott Kolkata.

A seasoned hospitality professional with over 25 years of experience, Shobhan brings a strong track record of operational excellence, commercial acumen, and people-centric leadership. Having spent a significant part of his career with Hyatt, his expertise spans operations, sales and marketing, revenue management, food and beverage, and guest experience enhancement. Over the years, he has also contributed to leading hospitality brands such as Taj Hotels and The Imperial.

An alumnus of Institute of Hotel Management Goa, Shobhan began his career in 2000 as an F&B associate at Hyatt Regency Delhi. He has since played a key role in the growth and success of multiple hotel operations, leading pre-opening projects, large-scale renovations, and transformative food and beverage and guest experience initiatives. In 2017, he stepped into his first General Manager role where he led the opening of Hyatt Regency Lucknow.
