Marriott International Named on Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies List Again

Marriott International has announced that it has once again been named one of Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies. The company has been featured on the list every year since its introduction in 1998. In the latest ranking, Marriott was named No. 1 in the Hotels, Casinos and Resorts category and placed No. 14 overall.

Fortune’s annual ranking evaluates companies across industries based on nine criteria, including investment value, quality of management and products, community responsibility, and the ability to attract and retain talent.

Commenting on the recognition, Anthony Capuano, President and Chief Executive Officer, Marriott International, said the acknowledgement reflects the company’s culture and the contribution of its associates in delivering guest experiences and supporting communities worldwide.

The recognition follows other recent acknowledgements for the company, including being named to Fortune and Great Place to Work’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2025. It also aligns with Marriott’s continued focus on associate development through initiatives such as Be, the company’s people brand, and Elevate, its global frontline associate development programme. Marriott said participants in Elevate have recorded a 25% higher retention rate and are 5.5 times more likely to be promoted than peers who have not participated.
