MakeMyTrip Expands UK Footprint with 900+ Premier Inn Hotels for Indian Travellers

MakeMyTrip has added over 900 Premier Inn properties to its international hotel portfolio through a new partnership with the UK-based hospitality brand. The agreement aims to offer Indian travellers a wider selection of accommodation across major cities in the United Kingdom.

Premier Inn, part of the Whitbread Group, operates hotels in the UK, Ireland, and Germany. Known for offering practical stays at accessible price points, the brand’s widespread presence is expected to resonate with Indian tourists seeking reliable options abroad.

This addition is part of MakeMyTrip’s broader effort to grow its international hotel inventory by securing direct agreements with global hospitality providers. Over the past year, the platform has onboarded more than 2,000 directly contracted hotels in 50 cities across 20 countries—locations that collectively represent over half of India’s outbound travel.

“Our focus over the last year has been to increase accommodation choices in high-demand long-haul destinations like the UK, Europe, and the US,” said Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group CEO of MakeMyTrip.

“This partnership with Premier Inn supports that effort and aligns with the growing preference among Indian travellers for international stays.”
