Lufthansa Allegris First Class Suite Receives Red Dot Award

Lufthansa Allegris Cabin Design Recognized at 2026 Red Dot Awards

Lufthansa has received the 2026 Red Dot Award in the Product Design category for its Allegris First Class Suite, developed in collaboration with design agency PriestmanGoode.

The Red Dot Award recognizes products across multiple categories for design, functionality, innovation and ergonomics. Lufthansa and PriestmanGoode jointly received the recognition for the Allegris First Class Suite.

Caroline Drischel, Senior Vice President Customer Journey at the Lufthansa Group, said the Allegris concept was designed to combine comfort, individuality and functionality, adding that more than two million passengers have already experienced the cabin product since its introduction.

The Lufthansa Allegris First Class includes two individual suites and the Suite Plus, featuring enclosed cabins with closeable doors for added privacy. Passengers can adjust seat temperature settings, connect personal devices to the entertainment system, and access features such as a 32-inch screen, wireless headphones, and personal storage space.

The Suite Plus has been designed for solo travellers seeking additional space as well as couples travelling together. The suite includes two seats that can be converted into a double bed, along with a larger entertainment screen.

Since launching in 2024, Lufthansa’s Allegris cabin concept has received several industry and design awards, including the German Design Award, German Innovation Award, Business Traveller Award and International Design Award.

Passengers can currently experience Allegris cabins onboard the Airbus A350-900 operating from Munich and the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner operating from Frankfurt. the airline plans to expand the Allegris product to additional aircraft, including the Airbus A350-1000 and Boeing 777-9.

By the end of 2026, the airline expects 35 aircraft operating from Frankfurt and Munich to feature the Allegris cabin product.
