Love on Earth Festival Promotes Sustainable Tourism in Thailand

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is set to host the “Love on Earth” festival on 6–7 September 2025 at the TAT Eco Park in Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima. The event reflects Thailand’s commitment to sustainable tourism and international standards in eco-friendly event management. Entry to the festival is free.

Thapanee Kiatphaibool

TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said, “The Love on Earth festival is a showcase of Thailand’s dedication to sustainable tourism. By integrating local culture, creativity, and innovation with eco-friendly practices, we aim to inspire both Thai and international visitors to embrace responsible travel that benefits communities and protects the environment.”

Organised under the concept of a Green Event and themed Green Vibes, the festival aligns with Thailand’s national goals of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065. The event will be certified as a Carbon Neutral Event by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO). It will feature renewable energy use, recyclable materials, waste reduction, and community-based tourism initiatives.

The festival programme is structured around six activity pillars:

  • Green Recreation: yoga, camping, and wellness activities.

  • Green Music: concerts powered by renewable energy.

  • Green Art: photography, sculptures, installations, and interactive eco workshops.

  • Green Food: organic and locally sourced cuisine, with cooking demonstrations by chefs.

  • Green Learning & Green Society: exhibitions on sustainability, workshops on waste management, and CSR activities such as tree planting.

  • Green Tourism: presentations from sustainable operators, eco-certified hotels, and community-led low-carbon tourism routes.

Through the “Love on Earth” festival, TAT aims to position Thailand as a leader in responsible tourism, encourage quality visitor engagement, and promote businesses that prioritise environmental and social responsibility.
