Malaysia Airlines’ Deepavali Celebration with Le Méridien

Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur is teaming up with Malaysia Airlines to celebrate Deepavali, offering a unique experience for travellers at all of the airline’s Golden Lounges in KLIA Terminal 1 from October 31 to November 6, 2024. This collaboration aims to enhance the guest experience with a curated menu that showcases the flavours of Indian cuisine. Additionally, Malaysia Airlines will introduce a special Deepavali menu onboard, featuring Chicken Jalfrezi on select flights throughout October.

During this period, all three of Malaysia Airlines’ lounges in KLIA Terminal 1—the Satellite Golden Lounge, Regional Golden Lounge, and Domestic Golden Lounge—will be transformed into festive dining destinations. They will showcase a specially curated Deepavali menu by Chef Thinesh from Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur. With over 10 years of experience, Chef Thinesh is renowned for his expertise in Indian cuisine, and his dishes are consistently popular among local and international travellers at the hotel’s buffet restaurant, Latest Recipe.

Highlights of the menu include Aloo Gobi, Fish Ambhedi Tikka, Murgh Tandoori, Goa Fish Curry and fragrant Mattar Jeera Pulao, alongside Palak Gosht, Tomato Shorba, and a variety of delicious desserts. Each dish is meticulously designed to capture the essence of Deepavali’s vibrant traditions while offering the refined flavours that are the hallmark of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s Deepavali Buffet Dinner, which will also be available at the Latest Recipe from 31 October to 3 November 2024.

To celebrate the festive spirit, the Golden Lounges will showcase traditional kolam art, a colourful and intricate design created from coloured rice and Indian beads. This art symbolizes prosperity and good fortune. The kolam at the lounge entrance reflects the values of Deepavali, enhancing the cultural atmosphere and offering travellers a moment of artistic beauty and serenity before they continue their journey.
