Layan Life by Anantara Recognized in Spa & Wellness Design at AHEAD Asia 2025

Anantara Layan Phuket Resort has announced that Layan Life by Anantara won the Spa & Wellness category at the AHEAD Awards Asia 2025, held in Singapore on September 12.

Organized by Sleeper Magazine, the AHEAD Awards recognise design and guest experience across the hospitality sector in Asia. Layan Life was recognised for its approach to wellness, combining elements of medical science with traditional Thai healing practices in a biophilic environment designed to support body, mind, and spirit.

The wellness retreat, designed by Martin Palleros, Tierra Design, and P49 Design Co. Ltd, reflects the “Whole of Life” philosophy and incorporates the four elements of traditional Thai medicine. Guests can participate in wellness programs such as Mindfulness for Life, Beauty for Life, and Active for Life, along with à la carte treatments and membership options for ongoing care.

“We are honoured to receive this recognition from AHEAD Asia,” said Frederic Varnier, Vice President Operations, Thailand South for Minor Hotels.

“Layan Life is a testament to our commitment to creating meaningful spaces that connect guests with nature and promote sustainable wellbeing.”

The retreat integrates diagnostics, physiotherapy, energy healing, and traditional Thai medicine. Facilities include cryotherapy chambers, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and custom herbal treatments, all housed in a purpose-built wellness centre that merges luxury with holistic care.

“This award reinforces Anantara’s position as a leader in wellness hospitality and highlights the growing global demand for integrated, transformative travel experiences,” Mr. Varnier concluded.
