“Mallard Enterprises’ ME-1A amphibious aircraft, with its cutting-edge technology platform, is an ideal addition to our diverse aircraft fleet,” stated Jigisha Parmar, CEO of FlyJet. “It will extend our reach to previously inaccessible destinations with a safe, reliable, economical, and environmentally sustainable travel experience for our customers.” FlyJet, a virtual business jet operator based in Bangalore, connects customers with both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft in its roster.

Mallard Co-Founder and COO Dan Peabody stated, “Mallard Enterprises is excited to be part of FlyJet’s diverse aircraft fleet and provide their customers access to new regions.” “The ME-1A aligns well with FlyJet’s vision thanks to its competitive economics, amphibious capability, speed, and green credentials.”

Flying Towards Success

Mallard inked another letter of intent for FlyJet at Farnborough, following one with Mehair for fifty ME-1As during the air show. With nine passengers and conventional airline reserves, the still-under-development aircraft from the Maine-based company can go 650 kilometres when fully loaded or a little over 1,800 kilometres while carrying just ten passengers. According to recent statements made by Mallard, co-founder and COO Mohan Chunduris, the company intends to start deliveries of this kind in late 2027 or early 2028.
