InterContinental Resort Jaipur Project Expands IHG Presence in Rajasthan

IHG Hotels & Resorts has signed a management agreement with Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd for the development of InterContinental Resort Jaipur Achrol in Jaipur. The resort is scheduled to open in early 2030.

The 225-key property will include 189 guest rooms and 36 villas spread across a 16-acre site on the Delhi–Jaipur Road in Achrol. The resort will become the fourth IHG-branded hotel within Jaipur city limits and the second InterContinental property in the market.

According to IHG, the signing forms part of the company’s continued expansion in India’s leisure and luxury hospitality segment.

Sudeep Jain, Managing Director, South West Asia, IHG Hotels & Resorts, said the project reflects growing demand for leisure travel, destination weddings and large-scale social events in India.

He added that Achrol’s location near Jaipur, combined with its heritage and accessibility, makes it suitable for both leisure tourism and events-driven travel.

Jaipur remains an important tourism destination within India’s Golden Triangle circuit and is known for attractions such as Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, and the Walled City.

Rajan Jhiriwal, Director at Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd, said the partnership with IHG aligns with the company’s plans to develop hospitality projects connected to Rajasthan’s culture and heritage.

Robin Jhiriwal, Director at Makson India Hospitality Pvt Ltd, added that the project aims to contribute to the region’s hospitality sector through design, guest experiences and event facilities.

The resort will feature four dining venues, including an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a pool bar. Additional facilities will include event venues, a ballroom, a spa, a fitness centre, a swimming pool, retail outlets, and parking facilities.

IHG currently operates 52 hotels across six brands in India and has 98 hotels in its development pipeline as it continues to expand its presence nationwide.
