IHCL Signs Gateway Resort in Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a new Gateway-branded hotel in Patnitop, Jammu & Kashmir. The project is a conversion with plans for future expansion.

Ms. Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “Patnitop offers travellers a convenient winter break. With the largest room inventory in the destination, this Gateway resort will serve demand from Punjab, Delhi NCR, and Jammu. As an access point to the Himalayas, this signing supports our plan to expand the brand in leisure markets. We are pleased to partner with FIL Industries Private Limited for this project.”

IHCL signs 64-key Gateway Hotel in Pahalgam, J&K - greaterkashmir

The 78-key Gateway Patnitop will be located in a natural hillside setting and include an all-day dining restaurant, a speciality restaurant, a bar, and two swimming pools, including a heated option. Additional facilities will include a fitness centre, treatment rooms, and a banquet hall spanning over 4,000 sq. ft.

Mr. Owais Altaf Syed, Director, FIL Industries Private Limited, said, “We are glad to collaborate with IHCL to bring the Gateway brand to Patnitop. This partnership reflects our shared interest in contributing to the region’s hospitality sector.”

Patnitop is a hill station in Jammu & Kashmir, surrounded by pine forests and mountain views. Visitors can participate in paragliding, trekking, and skiing, or explore nearby attractions such as Natha Top and Billo Ki Powri.

With this signing, IHCL now has 12 hotels in Jammu & Kashmir, including six under development.
