IHCL Signs Framework Agreement for 7 Ginger Hotels Across North India
Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a framework agreement to develop seven new Ginger hotels, strengthening the brand’s presence across key cities in North India.
Commenting on the development, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said that demand in India’s midscale hospitality segment continues to grow, supported by economic activity across manufacturing and services, as well as increasing domestic travel. She added that the multi-hotel agreement with Rajdarbar Group highlights the potential to expand the Ginger brand across metros, state capitals, commercial hubs, industrial towns, pilgrimage centres, and leisure destinations.
The seven hotel sites will include both greenfield and brownfield projects. The partnership has begun with the opening of the 59-key Ginger Gurugram, Sector 1, located in Palam Vihar, Gurugram, Haryana.
Under this agreement, the development pipeline is expected to add over 1,000 rooms through fully fitted lease arrangements. The planned locations include Jaipur, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Hisar and Karnal.

Vasudev Rakesh Garg, Director, Rajdarbar Group, said the group sees strong opportunities in Tier-2 cities across North India and aims to develop Ginger hotels in strategically located markets. He added that the partnership with IHCL supports the group’s plans to expand midscale hospitality offerings across these destinations.
