Gaurav Pokhariyal, Executive Vice President – Human Resources at IHCL, said sustainability is now closely linked to how the hospitality sector approaches long-term value creation. He noted that as IHCL expands across regions, embedding sustainable practices into daily operations remains central to responsible growth. Under Paathya, the company is working to improve energy efficiency, water management, and waste reduction.

Since 2016, IHCL has reported measurable progress across key environmental indicators. Energy intensity has reduced by 18%, emissions intensity by 35%, potable water intensity by 34%, and waste sent to landfill by 46%, reflecting continued efforts to improve resource efficiency.
