IHCL Enters Strategic Partnership with ESSEC Academy to Strengthen Leadership Development

Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has partnered with ESSEC Academy, Singapore, to launch a leadership development program that aligns with its people-first culture and commitment to cultivating future-ready leaders.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO, IHCL, said: “Aligned with our Accelerate 2030 strategy, IHCL continues to focus on strengthening leadership capabilities across all levels. As the hospitality industry evolves, we remain dedicated to building a learning-oriented culture and preparing our teams for future opportunities. Our collaboration with ESSEC Academy reflects this commitment and supports the development of talent for the years ahead.”

Leading transformation at IHCL - BW Hotelier

As part of this partnership, IHCL has launched the General Managers Studio, titled “Persona Meets Purpose.” This five-day immersive program aims to enhance leadership capabilities among the company’s senior talent. The curriculum focuses on several key areas, including emotional intelligence, global leadership traits, stakeholder engagement, growth mindset, innovation, and sustainability. Participants will engage in expert-led sessions, collaborate with peers, partake in reflective exercises, and work on hands-on projects throughout their learning journey.

Vincenzo Vinzi, Dean and President, ESSEC Business School, said: “The partnership between ESSEC Business School and IHCL represents a meaningful step in strengthening India–France collaboration in education and leadership development. Through shared initiatives such as scholarships, executive learning, and joint programmes, this collaboration aims to develop leaders who are adaptable, responsible, and globally minded.”

IHCL ENTERS INTO A STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP FOR 150+ HOTELS IN INDIA

This partnership builds on IHCL’s ongoing relationship with ESSEC. Over the past five years, both institutions have offered a 100% scholarship for the MSc in Hospitality Management to young professionals. This year, ESSEC has introduced a one-year track for experienced professionals. In addition, IHCL and ESSEC have co-developed a Management and Leadership module for IHCL’s Campus to Corporate – Hotelier Development Programme, integrating global leadership frameworks with hospitality-focused learning.
