IHCL Adds Taj Cochin to Portfolio

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has inaugurated the Taj Cochin International Airport hotel, with the ceremony led by Kerala’s Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan. This new establishment seamlessly blends modern design with Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, reflecting IHCL’s dedication to the region.

Speaking on the occasion, Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and CEO of IHCL, said, “Having pioneered tourism in Kerala, IHCL is delighted to introduce Taj Cochin International Airport, strengthening our presence in the state. Developed in partnership with CIAL, this hotel expands our portfolio to 19 hotels in Kerala with three in the pipeline, reflecting our commitment to enhancing Kerala’s travel landscape.” 

He added, “Cochin’s growing economic significance has firmly established it as one of the key cities in Southern India. This new opening in the city’s emerging micro-market grows our footprint while also offering easy access to the region’s popular leisure destinations.” 

The hotel features 111 rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, J Wellness Circle, a fitness centre, and a swimming pool. It also offers over 5,000 sq. ft. of banquet space for events.
