Destination by Hyatt Expands ‘Roots to Reunion’ Program with New Family Destinations
Following its 2024 debut, the Destination by Hyatt brand is expanding its Roots to Reunion program, created to support multigenerational family travel. Now available at 10 properties across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, the program offers curated itineraries, on-site Family Travel Experts, and experiences tailored to gatherings of all sizes.
A Coordinated Approach to Family Travel
To simplify planning, each participating resort provides a Family Travel Expert who works directly with families to create itineraries that accommodate a range of ages and interests. Select properties also offer Reunion Ready Kits with items such as snowball makers at The Lodge at Spruce Peak, pickleball equipment at Hana-Maui Resort, and s’mores kits at The Seabird Resort.

Katie Johnson, Vice President & Global Brand Leader, Luxury and Collection Brands, said: “Families are redefining how they spend time together, and we are shaping our programs to reflect those needs. With the expanded Roots to Reunion program, guests can reconnect not only with each other but also with the culture and environment of the destinations they visit.”
Destination-Focused Family Stays
Each property in the program is designed to reflect its local setting, with activities that encourage families to spend time together. The expanded list now includes:

The Carolina Inn (Chapel Hill, North Carolina): Residential-style rooms and family experiences such as outdoor movies, local farm visits, and cultural outings.
