Hotel Heron Joins Curio Collection by Hilton
Hotel Heron, a property operated by Aparium Group, has announced its transition to Curio Collection by Hilton. The 134-room hotel will continue to be managed by Aparium and will maintain its independent identity while becoming part of Hilton’s global portfolio.

Located in Alexandria, Virginia, Hotel Heron becomes the second Curio Collection by Hilton property in the DMV region. The move reflects an expansion of the hotel’s market reach while preserving its focus on local connections and neighborhood engagement.
As part of Curio Collection by Hilton, the new property will participate in Hilton Honors, providing guests access to member benefits such as Digital Key, points-based payment options, member-only rates, and complimentary Wi-Fi.

Situated in Old Town Alexandria, the hotel offers a contemporary perspective on the historic neighborhood. Its on-site food and beverage venues include KILN, a ground-floor restaurant featuring hearth-inspired Mid-Atlantic cuisine; Francis Hall, a cocktail bar located within the hotel; and Good Fortune, a rooftop venue offering views of the Potomac River.

With its addition to Curio Collection by Hilton, Hotel Heron enters a new phase while continuing to emphasize design, community-oriented programming, and locally influenced dining experiences.

“Since opening, Hotel Heron’s sense of place has been rooted in Alexandria’s vibrant community and creative energy, that comes to life through our thoughtful culinary offerings and impactful lifestyle programming,” said Matt Karow, General Manager, Hotel Heron. “Joining Curio Collection by Hilton gives us the opportunity to bring that story to a wider audience while preserving the authenticity that resonates with locals and loyal guests.”

“Hotel Heron’s charm and culturally connected programming embody the kind of guest experience Curio Collection aims to deliver,” said Brooke Thomas, brand leader, Curio Collection by Hilton. “As a Northern Virginia based company, Hilton is always excited to expand in our home market, especially with brands like Curio Collection that celebrate the bespoke stories of a destination. We’re thrilled to continue that momentum with the addition of Hotel Heron.”
