Accor's Latest Property in Istanbul
Accor has revealed that it will manage The Grand Tarabya, a historic hotel in the affluent Tarabya neighbourhood of Istanbul along the Bosphorus Strait. Beginning on December 31, 2024, The Grand Tarabya will become Accor’s 38th hotel in Istanbul. This will further solidify the Group’s expansion into major cities in Europe and the Middle East and highlight the destination’s rising status as a global luxury hospitality hub.
Since its debut in 1966 as one of Turkey’s initial five-star hotels, The Grand Tarabya has represented beauty and elegance. After its restoration and reopening in 2013, the property now boasts 248 rooms and suites, 29 residences, seven dining venues, and a wellness centre.
Accor will manage the property under a white label during a major renovation to enhance the hotel’s offerings. Once the renovation is complete, The Grand Tarabya will transition to a Fairmont brand, incorporating Fairmont’s distinctive brand elements while also honouring the property’s rich heritage and vibrant local culture.
