Hilton Signs Waldorf Astoria Goa, Expanding Luxury Portfolio in India
Hilton has announced the signing of Waldorf Astoria Goa, bringing the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts brand to Goa’s western coastline. The property will be Hilton’s third Waldorf Astoria in India, following earlier signings in Jaipur and New Delhi, and further strengthens the company’s luxury pipeline in the country.
Scheduled to open in 2030, Waldorf Astoria Goa is being developed by West Coast Hotels Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture between the V.S. Dempo Group and Triton Hotels & Resorts Private Limited. With this signing, Hilton’s presence in Goa will expand to four hotels, with trading and pipeline projects underway.
The hotel will be set across a 20-acre waterfront site in South Goa, overlooking the Arabian Sea. The project is designed to reflect the brand’s approach to luxury hospitality while incorporating elements of Goa’s coastal character and cultural identity.
Waldorf Astoria Goa will feature 148 rooms, suites and villas. Planned facilities include multiple dining venues, the brand’s signature Peacock Alley, a beachfront restaurant and a rooftop bar. The hotel will also offer approximately 10,800 square feet of meeting and event space, alongside a spa, fitness centre and swimming pools, positioning it to cater to leisure travellers, weddings and corporate gatherings.
Alan Watts, President, Asia Pacific, Hilton, said the signing reflects continued investor interest in high-end hospitality in India and supports the company’s broader development plans across the region. Candice D’Cruz, Vice President, Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton, added that Goa’s cultural and coastal setting offers an opportunity to shape a destination that aligns with the Waldorf Astoria brand while maintaining a strong local identity.
Ratan Sharma, CMD, Triton Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd., noted that the project represents a long-term vision to develop a luxury hospitality offering in South Goa. Shrinivas Dempo, Chairman, West Coast Hotels Pvt. Ltd., said the partnership aims to introduce an internationally recognised brand to the region while remaining connected to Goa’s local context.

The hotel will participate in Hilton Honors, the company’s loyalty programme, allowing members to access benefits when booking directly through Hilton’s channels.
With increasing demand for experience-led leisure travel in India, Hilton continues to expand its luxury and lifestyle portfolio, adding new projects across key urban and resort destinations.
